Having a safe place for your puppy to be while you're away or during bedtime is very important. Consider this as a bedroom for your puppy and create a fun and safe space for your puppy to call their own! Make it fun and stimulating. You can add their favorite toys to keep them busy. If you have hardwood floors or carpet, you know having a puppy can put those floors in jeopardy until they've been fully potty trained. They make these amazing things called whelping pads. They are waterproof, washable, and protect your floors! The link below will take you to some affordable whelping pads that fit perfectly underneath the playpen I recommended. This is for a 2-pack. 

We don't suggest using disposable pee pads. With our experience, puppies tend to find them more of a chew toy than a pee pad. This results in the puppy shredding the pee pad and making a huge mess. Not to mention, they can be expensive. I highly recommend the washable pee pads. They are great! These are wonderful for potty training because they carry your puppy's scent. Even after washing, your puppy will have his/her scent on the pee pad and know where it should go potty. The link for the washable pee pads is down below. 

Some puppies get tear stains. This is most common with lighter colored puppies, such as creams and whites. However, any color puppy can get stains. I recommend Angels' Eyes Gentle Tear Stain Wipes. If you notice any staining on your puppies' eyes, you can use these to either slowly rid the stain or maintain a clean stain-free eye. You can find these is most major pet stores. We feed our puppies Diamond Puppy in the purple bag. We've fed this food for years without any problem. It's the perfect bite sized kibble for your puppy's little mouth. We always send a quart sized bag along with our puppies in their gift bag in case their new owners want to slowly transition to another food. If you decide to feed another food, please contact us for instructions on how to slowly transition your puppy so that your new puppy does not get an upset stomach or diarrhea. Sometimes, puppies have a hard time transitioning into their new home for the first few days. In this case, we recommend having soft wet puppy food on had in case they do not seem interested or too sad to eat the hard puppy food. We recommend feeding this food ONLY in cases where your puppy is not wanting to eat their dry food. Feeding a soft food diet regularly instead of a hard food diet is very hard on small breed teeth. It's important they have a hard food to help with tartar buildup. Additional things can be bought for this, such as teething chews and toys.
